In 1969, three Benedictine Sisters from Ferdinand, Indiana had a vision: to develop a faith-based learning environment where the cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual and physical developmental needs of children with disabilities could be met. At the time --- if you can imagine this --- the only alternative for children with these types of disabilities was institutionalization. These women made an investment in our future – building the foundation for the current Madonna Learning Center.

Similarly, our donors continue to help us build vision and investment. Your donations help keep Madonna Learning Center a viable operation and allow us to continue providing quality individualized educational plans for our students. We operate the only private independent school in the Mid-South for students with disabilities and are the only school to offer a therapeutic environment with a small teacher to student ratio.

The Madonna Learning Center operates as a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit learning institution. We take pride in our community investment, knowing that we provide an environment where our students can thrive once they graduate from our programs. We build communities – student by student.

We sincerely appreciate your support and generosity.

Madonna Learning Center provides a nurturing faith-based educational and social environment that empowers young and adult students with special needs to reach their full potential while offering support to their families.
